Each amount in the table has the fee taken out of the £300. Wise, Skrill, NatWest and Nationwide pay to a bank account. Instarem and Western Union each pay to more than one place in Lithuania, and their rows do not say which. The comparison does not say how the sender paid.
What to actually open
If you already have Wise installedUse Wise.On £300 that morning it delivered €353.33 for a £1.51 fee at the real exchange rate, the one you see if you search "1 GBP to EUR" on Google. That was the best of the fresh prices on the Wise price comparison for Lithuania that day, €0.21 ahead of Instarem and about €6 ahead of NatWest.
If you do not have Wise and already use InstaremInstarem is a fair pick.On £300 Instarem delivered €353.12 for a zero fee, €0.21 behind Wise. The rate was about 0.55 percent below the real one, which on £300 is under £2.
If you use SkrillLook at the rate as well as the fee.Its fee was zero, but its rate was about 5 percent below the real one, which on £300 is about £14. It delivered €338.26, about £13 behind Wise.
Nationwide's row was last.On £300 it delivered €329.95, about £20 less than Wise for the same money. Part of it was a £15 fee on the comparison; the rest was a rate about 2.2 percent below the real rate. On 5 November 2026, Nationwide's page set the £15 for SWIFT payments, treated euros to Lithuania as a different type of payment and gave no fee for that type. So look at the cost when you set up the payment. With no fee, that rate would still be about £5 behind Wise.
NatWest had no fee, but its rate was still about 2.2 percent below the real one, which on £300 is about £7.

Catches
Revolut, TransferGo, HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds and Santander UK did not return a fresh price for GBP to EUR on the Wise price comparison that morning. They are missing from the table, not judged. If one of them is your usual app, open it and check the number yourself before you send.

Corrections
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page did not say that each amount in the table, Western Union's and Nationwide's included, has the fee taken out of the £300. It now does. No figure changed.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page told you not to open your Nationwide app, called it worst, and said the bank charges the £15 fee up front. Nationwide's page sets £15 for SWIFT payments, treats euros to Lithuania as a different type of payment and gives no fee for that type, so the page now says that and the row's figures stay.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page said Revolut and TransferGo are the apps Lithuanian senders in the UK reach for first, and that both have Lithuanian founders. Revolut's founders are not Lithuanian, and we have no source for the rest, so those words are gone.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page called Skrill's zero fee a lure, said it advertises no fee, said there was no fee on the screen, said a zero fee on the screen is not a zero cost, and said the app keeps about £14. Skrill says it may make money on the exchange and that you can see the rate applied, so these lines are gone and the rate figures stay.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page gave the prices as ones to a euro account, said the money went to the same euro account, and its summary said a euro bank account. The comparison does not say that, so the page now says which apps pay to a bank account and which rows do not say.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page said delivery normally arrives the same morning on a weekday, said a Friday evening send from a UK bank often does not clear until Monday, and told you to send on Thursday or early Friday for a Monday payment. We have no source for these, so those lines are gone.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page said two independent feeds matched Wise's rate. They were one feed read from two base currencies, so the page now says one.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page said Wise was about €6 ahead of the next bank. Monese, which is not in the table, was €5.40 behind Wise on the comparison, so the page now says about €6 ahead of NatWest.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page told you to expect a rate near NatWest's and a varying fee at HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds and Santander UK, called Wise and Instarem a tie, said the arrival is the same for most senders, and said NatWest and Instarem quietly keep part of the send. We have no source for these, so those words are gone.
- 2026-11-05: An earlier version of this page said "this Friday morning" with no date in its summary and first line. These now say Friday 16 October.
