Frequently Asked Questions

Questions people ask about Boki.

Is Boki a comparison site?

No. There are already several comparison widgets with live rate feeds, and they do that job well. Boki is different. We write plain guides that say, for a given route, which provider to use and which one to avoid, and why. We give a verdict, not a table.

How do you know the rates and fees are current?

Every guide is checked against the provider’s own live pricing page before it goes up, and each one carries a “last verified” date. When a fee changes, we update the page. If you find a figure that no longer matches what the provider shows, tell us at [email protected] and we will look at it the same day.

Do you make money if I use one of the providers?

Not right now. When affiliate links do return, they will be marked, and no recommendation will change because of them. A provider we would not send our own family to does not get recommended, ever.

Why don’t you cover every country?

We cover the routes we know well enough to give a real verdict on. Adding a country we do not know would mean copying whatever the comparison widgets say, and there is no reason for us to exist if we do that. We add more countries as we learn them properly.

What if the Friday number turns out to be wrong?

Write to [email protected] with the country and what you got when you tried it. If we made a mistake, the page gets corrected the same week, with a note saying what changed.
